EVIAN PARLEY FINISHES WORK
EVIAN, Thursday (R). Heads of delegations at the International Refugees Conference have reached complete agreement on the text of its resolutions and the conference has completed its labours.
The Conference later adopted a resolution regarding the number of types of immigrants which each country is prepared to receive, dividing them into various categories, as (1) those who have not yet left their country of origin, as Germany and Austria, but are desirous of emigrating owing to political and religious beliefs and racial origins, and (2) persons as the above who have already left their native country but have not settled elsewhere.
The participating Governments agree to furnish the Committee with strictly confidential information regarding the number of types that each country is prepared to accept.
The various Governments will not be responsible for financing any voluntary emigration.
The resolution also provides for the establishment of an Inter-Governmental Committee in London whose duty will be to continue and develop the work of the Evian Conference.

- die Regierungen übenehmen mit Blick auf Flüchtlinge keinerlei finanziellen Verpflichtungen
- die Zahl der Flüchtlinge, die die Länder bereit sind aufzunehmen wird vertraulich behandelt
- in London wird ein Komittee eingerichtet, das die Arbeit von Evian fortsetzen soll

Arabischer Aufstand
In Palästina setzte sich der arabische Aufstand fort (vgl. Teil 2).
Die Palestine Post berichtet an diesem Tag von weiteren Unruhen vor allem in Haifa: Brandanschläge, Schiessereien und Bombenattentate, die allesamt verhältnismäßig glimpflich ausgingen.
