Karl Rove, former spindoctor of George W. Bush, strongly supports the McCain – Palin ticket.
The reason why:
Both McCain and Palin have been able to lure the american voter away from critical issues
like the war in Iraq, social insurance, education, global warming and instead to direct his attention to issues like family values, hockey-moms, sunday prayers and – how funny – lipstick, i.e. things that can never be criticized.
This, so Rove, is a perfect basis for a republican victory.
He himself could not have arranged it better.
Diese Meldung ist nicht zutreffend. Ich habe sie soeben erfunden. Und dennoch ist sie wahr. Erschreckend wahr.
Wahr ist allerdings, dass Rove die Wahl von Palin tatsächlich begrüßt.
Diese Auswahl wurde wahltaktisch gut getroffen, auch wenn man sich Palin als commander-in-chief nicht gut vorstellen kann, meint Rove.
In Bemerkungen dieser Art zeigt sich der ganze Zynismus der republikanischen Strategen à la Rove. Sie können öffentlich über Taktiken und Winkelzüge reden und wissen exakt, das “normale Volk” interessiert sich so wenig dafür, dass diese freimütigen Bemerkungen nicht schaden können.
